Al Ghawar Driving Center (GDC), a newly established driving institute for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has been established by Gulf Alliance and Saudi Aramco, a leading national petroleum and natural gas company.

The establishment of the institute is in line with the vision of His Highness King Abdulaziz Al-Saud – may Allah bless his soul, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs on empowering women in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Located at Mubarraz – Al Ahsa (beside Saudi Aramco Industrial Training Center), the driving school has a fleet of 100 vehicles and 50 Saudi national Female instructress, who can train students in both Arabic and English.

The Instructress at GDC have been trained by experts who are certified by SweRoad, a Swedish road safety training consultancy.

The courses offered are in line with the training imparted at EDI, which is affiliated with The Institute of The Motor industry of the UK (IMI), The International Association for Driver Education and The Institute of Advanced Motorist – UK (IAM). EDI’s driver training methodology has been accredited by AA Driving School in the UK. This ensures that the driving tuition standard is continuously updated to meet the latest leading-edge driving techniques.
